There’s a famous advert – which I’d love to share but for probable copyright reasons can’t – which shows a photo of a guy smiling with a missing tooth and says that dentistry is important because that’s what you notice in the photo, but what you don’t notice is that he’s also missing an eyebrow. Nobody notices it until it’s pointed out. Google it.

Dentistry is important. Losing a tooth can be life changing and many people hide their smile with a hand or don’t smile broadly at all because of something about their smile that they don’t like.
