What is a denture?
Where the teeth have been lost, the denture is the traditional way of filling in the gap; it is a removable plate with acrylic teeth. The plate can either be made of pink acrylic, or a combination of metal and acrylic which is usually less obtrusive in the mouth.
Who is it for?
Because people keep their teeth for longer and we have many more options for replacing teeth that are lost, many people never have to resort to dentures as they did in the past. There are still many of our patients for whom it is the preferred option, or the only option, and we love to meet those needs with a bespoke solution.
How long does it take?
It takes about 4 or 5 visits to take the moulds and design the denture.
How much does it cost?
This varies depending on how many teeth are needed, and the material used. We will provide you with a full treatment plan before any appointments are booked. The total cost is spread across each appointment to make it more manageable.
