Panoral radiograph (OPG):
This gives a view of all the teeth and the jaws in one image. You stand still as the x-ray machine rotates around you, taking a picture as it goes.
CBCT:
This is a machine that takes a 3D image of an area of the mouth or jaws, and is often used before implants are placed, but gives us a lot of information about root structures and the sinus areas.
Cephalometric radiograph:
If you are needing to have orthodontic treatment, then we take a view of the side of your head which allows us to measure the relationship between the positions of the upper and lower jaws and the base of the skull. These measurements tell us why the teeth are not relating well together, and how much development is required.
We accept referrals for all these types of radiographs from other practices who do not have these facilities on site.
